PowerPoint Tracking Collar

The PowerPoint Collar is a long range telemetry tracking collar with an activity switch that let's you know when the dog is on point or running. Is is designed and produced by Marshall Radio to be as small and lightweight as possible, yet rugged and reliable.

Intended for heavy and extended use, this collar runs for months on common, easy to find AA batteries. A small green LED flashes during normal use indicating the collar is running, but switches to red (and you'll also hear a double-beep warning on the receiver) when only 5 days life left.

Machined casing with tripled sealed waterproof construction guarantees maximum protection.

Available frequencies: 150, 173, 216, 217, 218, 219
Available light colors: red, amber, green, blue

Key Features

The case on the PowerPoint is not plastic but machined from a very hard aircraft aluminum alloy. It is of "unibody" single-piece construction. This collar is used day in and day out by Professional Trainers and Field Trialers throughout the US who require that it be bombproof.

On a dare, an F350 pickup was intentionally driven over the collar with no damage, other than a slight rock mark on the side.

Instead of requiring the specialized and expensive batteries, this tracking collar is designed to use two common and easy to find AA batteries, from which the case takes its shape and size. Alkaline batteries are fine but the Lithium versions used for cameras are even better. They are very lightweight, and run better in very cold temperatures.

And you will never have the Collar shut off accidentally in the field due to the batteries running out (flat), because when there are still five days of run time, you'll hear a double-beep on your receiver. And if the collar is in your hand while turning it on or off, you'll notice the green running light also switches to red, indicating low battery mode.

The PowerPoint Collar case has been reduced to the smallest size possible that can still accomodate two AA batteries. This means it is also very lightweight as a tracking collar designed for dogs.

It has a low-profile, neck-hugging design that does not catch on or impact objects encountered by the running dog in the field.

The PowerPoint HP Collar can be ordered with High-intensity Safety Lights, your choice of Red, Green, Orange or Blue. Three super bright LED lights on the collar help your dog be seen on a roadway at night, up to 3/4 mile away! These bright lights can be turned on or off with the tap of a magnet so you can turn them off during a Competition Hunt or if you'll be done tracking long before the sun sets.

The housing is attached to the collar using four small screws. This means the collar can be switched to another collar if needed. One example of this is how many falconers put the PowerPoint onto their Training Collar to make a "Combo Collar" that saves space on the dog's neck and let's them use both devices on one.

If the antenna becomes worn or needs to be replaced, this design does not require you to send the collar in for the new antenna to be installed. We send the antenna to you. Following simple instructions, the new antenna can be installed in only a few minutes.

Marshall engineers discovered a unique way to boost the power of this tracking collar without needing to run at higher voltages (7v). Yet in inumerable field test comparisons, the PowerPoint reaches out farther than any other dog tracking collar in the market.

You can order your new PowerPoint to have the Point Mode be "slow and long" or "quick and fast." More and more falconers use the PowerPoint now as a key part of their equipment and have it set to a channel on their falconry receiver. Also, you can have it reprogrammed at a later date, to a different channel if needed.

You can order the PowerPoint in any of the following frequencies: 151, 173, 216 through 219 MHz.

Customers Say

"I've used Marshall products for years and have always relied on their excellent performance. So when I finally decided to try a pointing collar, I naturally chose to buy the Marshall version.

It is absolutely fantastic.

The power is incredible and I can tell exactly what my dog is doing without even seeing where she is.
Ralph Rogers, Montana

"A good pointing dog collar is essential to success in grouse hawking. Often times you think you know where the dog is and they dissappear just over the horizon. In that situation, it's pretty hard to call them off point, even if you wanted to. So knowing both that they're on point AND where they are is a real bonus. I love my new Marshall pointing collar. It's quite an upgrade from what I'd been using.
Hubert Quade, Idaho

Why would I want a tracking collar on my pointer?
Number one reason: insurance for a lost dog, same as your reasons to use telemetry on your falcons. Number two reason: to know what your dog is doing when out of sight. A dog locked up on point but just over the hill can cost valuable time. With the PowerPoint collar you hear when your dog is running, creeping or on point and you then know WHERE to go to find it.

It's been the product that most falconers didn't know they needed, until they used it, and then found they won't turn a dog loose without it.

How does the PowerPoint compare in range to the other falconry transmitters?
The dog collar is about 4 times more powerful.

Which is better to use in this collar: alkaline or lithium batteries?
Common AA alkaline batteries at 50 cents a piece are hard to beat for convenience and availability. But you can find AA in lithium (photo batteries) at most camera counters now, and they are extremely lightweight and last longer. The trade off is they do cost more. Both work well.
