Vertically integrated, Marshall Radio \ndesigns, engineers, manufactures, markets, and services our own products, providing \nhighly integrated user experience, and peerless performance in our tracking equipment.\nWe seek embedded system engineers to join us in developing best in breed GPS tracking \nproducts in consumer, lifesaving, animal tracking and military spaces. \n<\/p>\n\n\t\t<h3>Job Description<\/h3>\n<p>Creating efficient modular code for ARM based systems<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t<li> Specialization in RTOS \/ Multithreaded environments<\/li>\n\n\t\t<li> Work on tightly integrated hardware platforms<\/li>\n\n\t\t<h3>Environment<ul>\n<p>This position is based out of our North Salt Lake, UT headquarters.  The position is \npredominantly an in-person position.  The embedded systems team is responsible for \narchitecting, developing, and verifying firmware for GPS tracking products. The team\nworks closely with electrical &amp; hardware engineers, app developers, as well as end \nusers to deliver highly refined products on a rapid development schedule.  Team \nmembers are expected to be intellectually curious and learn from other associates in \nand outside of their own discipline.  Successful applicants will take responsibility for \nthe development and testing of mission-critical systems as part of a close-knit group \nof exceptional engineers.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Basic Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n<li> Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering<\/li>\n<li> 5+ years of experience writing embedded software in C \/ C++ language<\/li>\n\n<h3>Preferred Skills and Experience<\/h3>\n<li> \u2022\t3+ years developing software for the  ARM MCUs<\/li>\n\t\t<li> Working knowledge of hardware level software development, including use of \ntimers, interrupts, watchdogs, and hardware peripherals buses (SPI, I2C, UART).<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h3>Knock our Socks off Skills<\/h3>\n<li> Experience with low power wireless, and mesh networks<\/li>\n<li> Wireless protocol experience, Link and Application Layer<\/li>\n<li> Deep understanding of OTA Networking architecture (CDMA, TDMA), and \nnetwork traffic scheduling and prioritization<\/li>\n<li> Bootloader and FOTA experience<\/li>\n<li> PC Software development with Python, C#<\/li>\n<li> Hardware and Software encryption techniques (AES, DES, etc) including key \nhandling and sharing up to FIPS 140<\/li>\n\n<h3>ITAR Requirements<\/h3>\n\t\t<p>\u2022\tTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the \nInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful \npermanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), \nor eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, kitting operations, inventory control, receiving processes, and piece rate administration to meet production deadlines.
